Workshop on NLP Techniques for Social Workers, Mental Health Clinicians and addiction counsellors

Neuro- Linguistic Programming (NLP) was developed by Richard Bandler and John Grinder in the 1970’s . Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a psychotherapeutic intervention that uses language to change the neurology of a human to achieve the desired outcome! The principles of NLP have been adapted by and integrated into more familiar therapies such as cognitive-behavioural, solution focussed and EMDR.


Workshop objectives

  • Theoretical basis of NLP and key concepts for creating rapid change in clients
  • Working with the most basic "atoms" of experience-visual images, auditory sounds and words, kinesthetic feelings and subsequent responses
  • How to change clients’ internal structures, communicating unconscious messages
  • Helping Clients’ identify their limiting beliefs and introduce change in perspective
  • Critique of NLP/Additional Resources for training and information
